You think you're not enough?

A lot of entrepreneurs, especially information entrepreneurs, are stuck because they think they're not good enough. They're not launching their products and services out into the world because they think “Why would somebody buy from me? My product and service is not great. I'm not THE expert to solve people's problems. Who am I to be trusted as the authority in my field?” And that's robbing them of their momentum. That's robbing them of their motivation

You see, it makes sense. All of us have experienced that inner critic the voice in our head that tells us you're not good enough, you're not ready yet. "Why would people hire you or why would people buy from you?"

However, I'm here to tell you, you're good enough just the way you are. I'm not trying to pump you up, that's the truth. You see, you've had unique experiences in your life. You have unique insights and wisdom to share with your audience. You have been through ups and downs, peaks and valleys, unique...

Support Groups Keep You Motivated

On your journey towards your dreams, sometimes you lose motivation. You have put in the work and invested the time, energy and effort to reach your goals, but you're not seeing the results. You lose your momentum, you feel lethargic and stuck.

It makes sense. Success is not a straight line. You go through ups and downs, peaks and valleys before you see the first glimpse of success.

What can you do about it? Find a support group. You don't have to do it alone. Find a  group of people who are like-minded, non-judgmental, and positive. People who lift you up when you fall down, and cheer you on when you're making progress. Find that tribe.

Some of you are blessed to have those people around you. For example: family members or good friends who are there for you when you badly need them. Be grateful because a lot of people don't have that blessing. But some of you don't have those people around you. Your family members or your close friends...

How the TOP 1% respond to FAILURE

Some people say “Shahab, what if I fail?” You know what? You will fail. Not only once but multiple times before you achieve success. That's a given. Now what's important is how do you interpret failure? Some people tend to think of failure as the opposite to success. They say I want to succeed so I don't want to fail and because they want to succeed they try to avoid failure like a plague. And guess what? If you avoid failure like a plague, you will avoid success. Just like I mentioned. There will be failures along the way before you finally achieve success and if you don't want to fail at all, you will not be able to achieve the success that you desire.

Now I'd like to encourage you to think about failure as a stepping stone, as a step in the journey that eventually leads to success. If you think about it that way, there's no winning and losing. There's no success and failure. It's actually winning and learning, because you're either getting the results that you want,...

Gain Back Your Momentum: Measure Progress

Achieving success is a long game. Along the way, there will be troubles and tribulations. Sometimes you lose your momentum, and sometimes your motivation goes down.

One of the best ways to get out of the rut is to regularly measure your progress. Let’s say you’ve been posting on social media for a while, but you’ve lost your momentum and motivation because you’re not seeing those big spikes and great followership. What can you do about it?

If you, let’s say, every single week, sit down and take a hard honest look at your performance, you will see objectively if things are truly going right or wrong. For example, sometimes when you look at the numbers (your KPIs: key performance indicators), you may see that you are actually making progress. Even though there are not those spikes in the performance reports, you will see that you are  actually getting more followers slowly but steadily. You will understand that you're not doing badly,...

Are you Smart but STUCK? Watch THIS.

Today I was talking to one of my clients, a very intelligent smart professional who is changing his line of work and is starting a new business, and he was telling me that, "Shahab, I'm lost! I'm confused! I don't know what niche I need to focus on! I don't know which area of specialty I need to be working in!", and I noticed that this is a very common pattern among a lot of smart people!

So, a lot of smart people and professionals have good knowledge. They have a great skill set; they have brilliant ideas, but they are kind of stuck. They are confused. They are lost, and they don't know which direction to take, and today, in this short video, I'm going to tell you why you are stuck (if that's you), and how you can get unstuck quite easily!

Now, I know that, as a professional coach, there are various reasons why somebody might be stuck, but a lot of smart people or stuck because they don't have clear specific goals! I know goal setting is such a hackneyed topic, you may have heard...

You fear you might FAIL, Do THIS

What to do if you fear you might fail.

You have an important goal but you think “What if I fail, what if I don't succeed?” Let's say you want to start a business, move to a new country, sit for a difficult exam, or enter a competition, but you think: what if I fail? And this fear of failure has paralyzed you. You are procrastinating on the very tasks that can get you the results you badly want, because (deep down inside) you are not sure if your effort matters at all.

Today I'm going to teach you how you can overcome this fear of failure and get unstuck. Remember it makes sense that you have this fear. Anybody in your situation would feel that way. But listen to these three questions, think about them very carefully and you will see it's not that easy to break through your fear.

1- Question number one, “What is the worst that can happen to you? What is the worst case scenario that may happen if you go for your dream?” Let's say you want to...

You FEAR it might be difficult, DO THIS

If you have a goal but whenever you start working toward it, you stop because you think it's too hard and I'm not ready to invest the time, energy and effort in it, this video is for you. It makes sense. Making a change is always difficult. You have this goal, maybe you want to start a business, you want to move to a new country, maybe you want to go for that competition, but you think it's too difficult. I'm not ready to invest the time, energy and money yet.

But I'm here to tell you this. You have two alternative paths. You have two choices and both of them will be painful and difficult. Let me explain. For example, you want to start that business. The first alternative is for you to not make that change, not go after that dream and stay in your current job. That will be painful. Why? Because initially when you thought about starting that business, it was because you didn't want to stay in that corporate job. You didn't like it. You wanted to make that change. You want to start...

How the TOP 1% respond to CHALLENGES

How do you normally respond when you face adversity in your life? What is your normal standard response when you have challenges or problems that come in your way in your personal or professional life?

Now you see, the most successful people are different from average guy in the way they respond to challenges. They tend to view the challenges as opportunities whereas the average guy gets sad, depressed, doubtful, worrisome about future, or they may get angry and point fingers at other people and blame others for their challenge. W. Clement Stone says, “In every challenge, there is the seed of opportunity as big or even bigger.”

Let me give you an example. When COVID 19 hit, a lot of restaurant owners had to let go of their staffs, some had to downsize, and some even shut down completely. Now I have a friend, a successful restaurant owner, Mr. Mohamad Fakih who is the founder of the franchise Paramount Fine Foods. There's no denying that he was also badly hit, but he...

The Top 1% Use THIS WORD All the Time

Achieving success is not just a big jump from where you are right now to where you want to be. It's more of a gradual step-by-step progress towards your dream. Along the way you come to realize that you don't have certain knowledge, skills, and connections. The question is, "How do the most successful people explain these shortcomings to themselves and how is their explanation different from the average guy on the street?"

The difference is in just one word. The average person says “I don't have the resources. I don't have the skills or the knowledge”. For example, they want to start a business, they say “I don't know how to build a brand. I don't know anything about marketing funnels. I don't know how to build a team”. They're stuck there. They tend to think of themselves as somebody with a fixed amount of ability and there's nothing much that they can do to improve it in a big way.

On the contrary, the top one percent people say “I...

Feeling Lost? Do THIS.

The other day I had a meeting with a new client.  This gentleman has recently immigrated to Canada and wants to start a new business here. He was telling me: "Shahab, I know I don't want to pursue my previous career, and I want to start something new, but I'm lost! I don't know what to do, and what direction to take. I kind of know what I like but I'm not really 100% confident that I'm going to be successful in that field."

As a professional coach, I started asking him various questions: “What are your top three strengths?" "What are your true passions?" "What are your top values?" "What is your vision?" "What is your mission?”. Every question I asked, he gave me this blank stare; he didn't know the answers. No wonder he was lost; no wonder he was confused: simply put, he didn't know himself at all!

One of my guiding principles is “Know yourself to grow yourself!”, and if you are lost, my questions to you are the same as above.

Do you know your...
